moving on

Hello there. I'm currently in the process of finding a new home and moving out of my current one, so there won't be any blog or Etsy shop updates for the next couple of weeks. For anyone who's gone through the moving process before, I'm sure you know how time-consuming (and sometimes stressful) it can be. But! I'll be back before you know it. In the meantime, please enjoy this adorable puppy. (photo via tumblr)

shop update

orange rose draped back dress
white & yellow patent heels
1980s ivory heart tea length skirt
A few new items have just been added to Ninja Vintage. Someone please buy the heart skirt before I decide to keep it for myself. Seriously. It's awesome. I still have a couple more things to put up in the shop this week, so keep checking back!

hot pants

As soon as I set eyes on this silly vintage stationery set at Goodwill yesterday, I knew I had to have it. Notecards in the shape of little yellow floral hot pants - why not?

Ninja Vintage Etsy update tomorrow, mostly dresses and skirts (sorry, no hot pants).

art in the streets

Busy week! 10 new items are up in the shop. I'm still working on the rest. Sometimes I underestimate how much time I need to get certain things done. I have the tendency to forget that my meticulous nature means that it takes me twice as long to get stuff done, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing (in this case, kind of a bad thing).

The photos above are from the "Art in the Streets" exhibit at the The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. The exhibit chronicles the entire history of street art, from the mass production of spray paint in the 1960s (I loved the wall of vintage spray paint cans) to Shepard Fairey's Obama "HOPE" poster in 2008 and the release of  Exit Through the Gift Shop in 2010. So many fun and inspiring things to see. Next Monday is the last day of the exhibit, so I'm glad I got to see it just before it ended.
